Dia Dhuit!

So it's been way over a week since my last entry, heh. Thus, I think it's about time to get back on here.

People are on vacation at work, and thus I've been getting more hours. Thirty-six hours this week, for instance, which is good for me money-wise. Though on the downside, I worked from 7-3 on Wednesday, got home, ate dinner, and started watching Supernatural. After it was over I fell asleep, didn't wake up again until that evening, at which point the day was nearly over and I had to get ready for another 7-3 shift on Thursday. Fun. XD

Also at work, the other day we were receiving some trucks, during which time one backed up right into the store, busting up his bumper and nearly making a pancake out of me. Then, while he was trying to reposition himself, my manager asks me to run out there to grab a milk crate that was in his path. I shook my head, said "I'm not going out there!" and watched as the milk crate was run over and smashed up, mere seconds later. I'm glad I had the common sense to say no just then, though I think most people would. XD

Sometimes I think self-learning won't get me anywhere, but then I end up reading about all these people who have done the same thing, such as Karl Marx, Michael Faraday, and Abraham Lincoln. I am still fed up with the educational system here, so I'll keep at it for awhile longer. Moreover, I have to pay for what I've already done in school. ¬_¬

I made some charts for memorizing the tenses in German, and I'm seeing a lot of similarities with French. J'ai fait = ich habe gemacht = I have made...okay, not totally similar, but the verb 'to have' is in there for both versions of the past tense, so I don't really have to remember that twice. What will be difficult is figuring out when to use the nominative pronouns and when to use the dative ones, as I've mixed them up a few times already.

I was looking at French history again, and I've shaken my head at a few things. Not to point any fingers at France really, as I could do the same to anyone else in time and space, but they really needed to recognize intelligence/leadership when they saw it. Out of Philip IV's four children, the best choice for successor seemed to be the only daughter, Isabella. Yet instead of doing so, they passed a law saying she(or her son) couldn't, and ended up sparking the 100 Years War. Ironically the war that started due to sexism came to an end in part due to another woman who they did allow to take charge, none other than Joan of Arc.

I zipped through Season 4 of Supernatural, and I definitely still like it. My favourite moment is definitely the following:

I'm finally caught up to Fairy Tail! Tis funny, utterly unpredictable, and it probably would be my favourite right now if I somehow knew nothing about One Piece. It can be pretty fanservicey though(for both genders, mind you), but I can live with that. I want to write a fanfic about this series too...which is why a crossover fic is probably the best option for me. XD

I am listening to Taylor Swift again, haha. I will forever be a fan of hers. ^_^

Ah, the cat!scream. Forever a classic. Although I have to say the little vignette of Jensen at the end of that ep topped it for me.

Self-learning is great if you have the self-discipline for it. I do not. I wish I did because it would make learning languages so much easier.

German grammar can be so confusing! Having to memorize which gender the noun has and what case to use feels impossible. @__@;

I went like... 200 hundred entries back in my LJ JUST to share my fave moment from supernatural Season 4 with you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ih0qS57h69I&feature=related

And I can't do self-learning, I'm too lazy and lack the organization to do so... although I'm fairly organized. I'd rather have someone tell me what's important and what's not--which is funny, because when I'm going character research, I like to do that myself... I have learned so many useless things you wouldn't believe ^^U
