    Writer's Block: Top ten playlist

What is your top-ten song list? What was it when you were a kid? Is there any overlap?

    View 527 Answers

Oh Jeez, this list changes more than the wind, xD. And since I remember so darn much, I don't really grow out of things; I merely add to them, lulz. So, in no particular order, I'll list ten of my favourite songs as of this very second:

    Smilife - Stereopony
    Breathe - Michelle Branch
    Jai Ho - Sukhwinder Singh
Kizuna - Asumi Nakata et al.
    Nanairo no Ashita - BoA
    Fifteen - Taylor Swift
    I Don't Care - Delta Goodrem
    Life - Yui
Senses Working Overtime - Mandy Moore
    Minna Daisuki - Buono!

But after writing all that, and after clicking 'post,' my top ten will be entirely different. X3

Haha, I just found myself wasting a few minutes before heading off to work, and I came across this(and just so you know, there is some profanity, so click if you're fine with that):

I didn't look through it all, and I can see it's still incomplete, but there are quite a few good laughs in there already. I especially liked these:

Again, slight profanity in here, click if you don't care )

    I'm getting old. O_o
Well, I suppose some people have assumed that I was married before, but yesterday, for the first time someone not only assumed I was a parent, but a grandparent. @_@

I was speaking with a representative from my phone company, replacing my crappy deal for another one. And then he goes on and says that if I get this added feature, I could "speak with my grandchildren whenever I wanted." XDDD

I know I've never really looked my age, but even at 22, I don't think I look-or in this case sound-old enough to have grandchildren. lulz

    Konnichiwa!
Wow, I really need a day off. xD

    Work-Wise
Everyone's hours have been cut, excluding yours truly. In fact, I got called in for an extra shift not once, not twice, but three times in the past week, including the one I mentioned in one of my last entries. I need the money, so I'm not complaining. Though I do wish the owners would treat their employees a little better, as trust me, a piece of dung on their shoes gets more respect than we do. >_<

    School-Wise

And this is what takes up my time when I'm not working, lulz. I could have made an awesome last assignment, but I didn't get enough time spent on it. But alas, I'm expecting a B out of it nonetheless. And I just looked at the calendar, realizing that my first exam starts in ten...oh, wait, it's after midnight...nine days from now, so I suppose I should be getting prepared. Because I want to do awesomely. X3

    Family-Wise
My dad seemed to be missing for a day, but thankfully, he was just with my brother, unaware that anyone was trying to call him. And speaking of Andy, he and Becky are considering flying down here to Ontario for Christmas, though nothing is written in stone quite yet. Hey, it's a lot warmer down here, anyway. *shot, despite the truth in the words* Very few can refer to Canada as "down t/here," so indulge when you can! =P

    Otaku-Wise
Haha, finally putting these things in one -wise, rather than a dozen. Anyway, this takes up some of that time not involving school and work. Caught up on everything here, ironically, and even starting more. And the new Zelda game comes out in a week, so obviously I'll be waiting until exams are over getting up early to go snatch it. Been playing Fire Emblem again, and in regards to Pokemon, after I finish training Kricketune(which is usually done during my breaks at work now), I'll have sixteen left before I fill in that empty slot next to Jigglypuff on my Pokedex.

    Fauxtaku-Wise

Watched 2012 tonight at the cheapest theatre you could imagine(it rhymes with 'Moogle'), and I must agree, it was pretty out there. Everything seemed totally random yet planned at the same time, from the same characters "encountering" each other randomly on three separate continents, to the stupid puns that rolled eyes rather than funnybones. And to top it off, I hear the writers intended to blow up the Kaaba, the most sacred site in Islam, but they decided against it, thinking it would offend Muslims. So what do they do instead, you ask? They blow up Freakin' Vatican City! And even the Statue of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro, XDDD.

    Otherwise
I spend too much time on the first two things, especially work. Heh.

    Life-Wise

When classes are done, I'll have a good three weeks of freedom to do whatever it is I want, be it write, read, train, shop, travel, chat, or kill Daien soldiers/Goombas/Ganondorf/Team Rocket/Capitalism. And of course, if I find out my wallet is a little empty, I may just as well have three weeks and eight months of freedom, lulz. During which, money or no, I intend to hunt for a good-paying job in the high-tech sector, seeing as I think I have an acceptable knowledge in the field by now. And once that happens, money should no longer be a problem.

And now I'm off to update the PC WiFi Tourney, make some RP entries on Concerto D'Amore, & start some topics in the One Piece fanclub. X3

    Writer's Block: Smoke screen

What are your feelings towards smoking? What rights do you think smokers and non-smokers should have?

    Submitted By [info]croses

    View 1224 Answers

Ugh, I hate smoking. I mean, I have nothing against smokers really, but I just wish that they wouldn't do it around me.

Usually I don't have a problem with this, but sometimes I find myself walking past-or worse, behind at a similar pace-a person with a cigarette. When that happens I just have to hold my breath and get as far away as possible.

But it was ever so annoying at work. You see, while it is illegal for people to smoke inside public buildings in Canada, they can still do it outside. And for some time, I worked outside, so I've probably gotten some second-hand smoke there. Luckily I'm gone from there now though. =D

As for the rights, I believe that smokers should be able to smoke if they want to, as long as they make sure that they don't shorten anyone else's lifespans along with their own. :/

Writer's Block: Let the shopping begin!

When do you typically start shopping for holiday gifts? Do you usually wind up buying stuff at the last minute?

You know, I still have another...*counts*...twenty-eight days left to think about that, so...yeah. XD

I procrastinate in nearly everything else, so nobody should be surprised that that includes this. =P

    Oh, the irony
My challenge is postponed, because today is no longer a day off. I just got off the phone with work, during which I was asked to come in for a seven-hour shift. XDD

So my "All day Monday" challenge has been changed to a "Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday night" challenge, though I still intend to go through with it. =P

    He....
I'll get to writing the rest of the greeting later. XD

Okay, I hereby make another challenge for myself, one that I intend to go through with. This upcoming Monday is a rare day indeed, as it is both a day off from work AND a day off from school. Thus, it should be a day to relax and do nothing, correct?

    Wrong. =P

I have several things I have been procrastinating on, from writing, to reading, to school, to money, and even, ironically, to anime and video games. So, on Monday, I intend to catch up on all of the above, excluding those last two. With the intention being to eradicate that little voice in my head reminding me that I have something else to do. xD

    And that is all.

    Hello!
    Writing-Wise:
I am doing it, but getting it done awfully slowly. And for each of my stories, I'm looking at new character options. May be going a little overboard, but it'll even out if I kill some off, heh. I had so many little conflicts with this one character that I decided to split her into two different people, lulz. Creative license for the win! XD

    Reading-Wise:
    I still suck. ;_;

    School-Wise:
Just dropped out of Assembly. I suck. :/
And now I have a month to prepare for my other exams. Wish me luck! o.o
Furthermore, that wish I had earlier did not come true. But meh, as I said before, I'm going to do it anyway. I'll be buying some Calculus and Physics texts to accompany my Japanese one whenever I have the money. And when I'm confident that I have beaten the system, I will do my best to make it known to the world. X3

    Work-Wise:
Thankfully I don't think money will be a problem as long as I have this. But I still want something better. ^^

    Anime-Wise:
Didn't get back into Inuyasha yet, but I wrapped up Shangri-La & 07-Ghost. Both kept my interest, and the former was especially thought-provoking-too bad they didn't last longer, heh.
And then there's Fairy Tail, this awesome new anime I've come across. If I had to describe it, it's a mixture between One Piece & Harry Potter, XD. Despite the fact that I know squat about the latter. =P

    PC-Wise:
Let's see...besides the fanfics which I already covered, I have the PC WiFi Tournament and the Ultimate Monotype Challenge to update, in addition to a handful of Clubs and Social Groups that I want to get active in again. If I don't have time to do the stuff I want to do, then there's definitely a problem somewhere. A problem I would like to fix most promptly. ;D

    Pokemon-Wise:
Counting my current trainee, Bidoof, I have 21 left to go. X3

    Life-Wise:
I finally got this phone business sorted out, so that's a plus. But now my Internet is acting up. Just great. >_<

    Quirk-Wise:
XD, I made it its own -wise now. Anyway, I'm noticing it in more and more places. And just like my schooling, I'm coming up with a myriad of reasons as to why this is:

-I want an excuse to support my ideas
-Tis always there, but I'm just now taking note of it
-My own desires are making it happen subconsciously
-I'm getting older, losing my subconscious want to conform
-I just don't care about conforming anymore(as if I ever did)
-Radioactive monkeys from Venus did it

Writer's Block: Just another manic Monday

Do you look forward to returning to work/school on Mondays or do you live for the weekend? What do you enjoy most about weekends? What do you dread most about school and/or work?

    View 836 Answers

What the...? This question is assuming I didn't work yestertoday, nor do I work today. xD

Well, news flash: I worked yesterday, and I'm working today as well. My next day off is Thursday. =P

But what I dread most about school and work is whenever we get into a boring streak. Like on Thursday mornings, when we're running around like chickens with their heads cut off, looking for something to do before the truck arrives. And then on Thursday evenings, in my Stats course, where my prof ends up teaching us crap we all learned in elementary school. >_<

Writer's Block: Here's looking at you

What is your all-time favorite, romantic movie scene? What about it speaks to you?

    View 1072 Answers

It'd probably have to be from Mermaid Melody. The moment when Kaito finally calls out to Lucia, after having his memories of her erased from his mind for the better part of the season. He apologizes for all the worry he had caused her, and promised to protect her. And then he went and said that he remembered after Lucia went and spontaneously kissed him in the last chapter. That causes her to turn beet red, as he goes and returns the favour. X3

And besides that, I'd also have to mention a certain NaruHina scene I had an entry about some time ago. ^^

    Writer's Block: Change is good

If you could change one major thing about your life, whether a relationship, your job, your living situation, your school, etc., what would it be? Are you currently working toward a serious life transition?

    View 1279 Answers

That'd be elimination of my 'quirk,' in one way or another. XD

And about the serious life transition, I suppose I am. I already made the move to my new place(one of the best decisions I've ever made, btw), and I really want to make a difference in my education. I'm still awfully procrastinative, and I keep coming up with different theories regarding why I don't always do so well. Among them:

-I'm somewhat of a perfectionist at times. ^^
-OCD is coming back to haunt me. >_<
-My quirk is entirely to blame. xD
-The work is too darn easy. O_o
-Otakuness is bad for my health. =O
    -I think too fast to concentrate on learning material so slowly. ;_;

With the last being my most recent excuse explanation, heh. As a result I am now looking into whether some math folks will allow me to write their exams without making me sit through their lectures. X3

And if I get my wish, I'll be hoping to get another serious life transition. That'd be fulfilling several of my goals before I hit thirty(or twenty-five if I can manage it, lulz), including living contently with my quirk, becoming a published author, and starting a university program that'll get me into the space sciences.

And if I don't get my wish....hey, apples don't stock themselves, do they? *shot*

Seriously though, if I don't, yeah, I'll be annoyed, but you know what? I'll do it anyway. It'll just take me a few extra years. But not before I run over to Ottawa U, and whoever else I can think of, to see if I can get them on my side. =P

Oh, there's way too many to choose from. xD

If I had to pick one, I'd probably throw the following into a hat and pick entirely randomly:

-To the era where money was invented(in China, correct me if I'm wrong), and stop it.
-The time of dinosaurs. Just because it'd be awesome. X3
-The 90's. I'd go convince my younger self to realize a few things a lot sooner than I actually have.
-December 22nd, 2012. For the lulz
-Israel, 2000 years ago. I'll leave it at that. =P

Writer's Block: Would you talk to the dead?

Have you ever participated in a seance? If not, would you consider it? What spirit would you summon and what question would you ask them? Do you believe we can get messages from the dead?

    View 673 Answers

Perhaps I'd summon Friedrich Nietzsche so I can see the look on his face when he realizes what happened. xD

But besides that, I suppose not. We get messages from the dead all the time, in literal context. Shakespeare died 500 years ago, and little kids are still forced to read his works. If that's not a message from the dead, I don't know what is. =P

My Assembly prof is awesome yet again:

In response to a number of requests, the deadline for the assignment is Monday, Nov 2 at  11:30 P.M.

And as a result, that hectic schedule I posted on Monday is now drastically diminished. Meaning I may actually find some time to write today. =D

Yes, I'm saying hello in TASM. Get over it. =P

My boss probably doesn't realize this, but he may have helped me out by scheduling me to work this morning. As a result, I did all my studying last night, thus taking away my need to cram. XD

And he was understanding. The only reason I have so many hours this week is because one guy is on vacation, one guy is off due to health problems, and another guy is too undependable. And seeing as I'm a healthy dependable person not on holidays, the hours naturally went in my direction. lol

As for the midterm....I really think I sucked at it. I spent the first few minutes flipping through it thinking "crap, I don't know how this works." But alas, I wrote out two big programs using pseudo-TASM and pseudo-C++/Java/BASIC/English, and I think the result was acceptable. But we'll see.

    Hopefully I'll do better on the final. ;_;

Well, no chapter up yesterday, obviously. Why, you ask? Because I was called in to work. XD

So this week coming up is going to be pretty hectic:

Sunday: Studying, 2-8 at work, followed by more studying
Monday: 7-3 at work, rest of the night studying
Tuesday: 7-3 at work, 4-5:30 writing Assembly midterm
Wednesday: no work, but I have an assignment to work on. And 10-11:30 in class
Thursday: 7-3 at work, studying for Stats midterm/working on assignment
Friday: class from 10-12:30, studying until 9 PM when I write said midterm, then hand in assignment for midnight
Saturday: 7-3 at work, rest of the night trick-or-treating, lulz. (not really)
    8:47 am
    Writer's Block: Yes, offense taken

If a friend or relative makes a racist or homophobic remark, do you tend to confront them or let it slide? Are you more likely to confront them if it offends you directly or someone else who seems reluctant to speak up?

    View 1575 Answers

Well, a certain family member of mine is racist, homophobic, and sexist. I have confronted them about it several times, but nothing ever results from it. :/

But other than that, I have no friends who are any of those things. And that's more intentional than coincidental. =P

-I have big plans for both Multiverse Chronicles and my Non-Fanfic Fic. For the former, I've been planning out the latest chapter, and I pretty much have it set, predicting that it'll be posted on PC and FF.net within the next 24 hours. As for the latter, I've yet to officially write an entire chapter, but I have nine characters developed out the wazoo, XD. Right now, I'm just worried about how some people will perceive some of these characters, due to some complex issues including sexuality and religion. Though above all, I just want to enjoy writing it, with the hope that others will enjoy reading it. ^^

    Reading-Wise
    -I suck

    School-Wise

87/100 on my first programming assignment, though I'm expecting a lot less from my 2nd one. I have a bunch of midterms and a handful of assignments to work on next week, and I really want to do well in them. I'm so close to getting my 3rd year standing, so I don't want to blow it because of something stupid.
Furthermore, I've always noticed this, but I am actually beginning to question whether university is for me. I still intend to go for my Bachelor's and whatnot, no doubt about that, but I am now considering the possibility that if I manage to achieve the majority of my life's goals, school will have nothing to do with it. I got a B+ in algebra having never went to class, and while I don't really like to boast about it, I learned the Russian and Japanese alphabets by myself, in under a day a piece. My point is that it seems I learn more when I'm outside of the school setting, heh. Additionally, while I do consider myself a writer, I hate English class with a passion, xD. Doesn't anyone find that a little oxymoronic? And yet it's true. =P

    Work-Wise
30 hours a week seems to be the norm for me now, which is actually working out pretty well. I don't have much time to study for my Assembly midterm, but I know that I will find the time on Sunday. After getting a 0/100 on an assignment due to a stupid compile error, I can't mess this up.
Though my store manager is an idiot, to put it lightly. He comes up with stupid rules at random, and he disperses them in the rudest possible way. For instance, he went and said that we could not use knives when out with all the customers. So, obviously, we went to the back room in order to use them. He then goes back and says that we should be out on the floor with the customers. WTF? I seriously am beginning to hate it there, just because of him. Hopefully I'll find something better soon.
And another irony here: anyone remember the woman I spoke of who always grinded my nerves and made me want to quit? Well, she doesn't bug me anymore, and actually went and said that I'm the hardest worker they have, lulz. I suppose she finally realized I was actually doing my job in my head, so she ceased to say I wasn't doing anything. Either that or my "keep your enemies closer" strategy worked, which admittedly is just as likely.

    Life-Wise
My roommates and I were expecting to get a $300 bill for electricity this month, and I was keeping my bank account balance in check so that I'd have the money. So, the bill comes, and it's a mere $120. So I'm very happy about that. ^_^
And in case you didn't know, this new place is still insanely awesome, and my roommates are as well. I am so happy that I found this place.
Though on the downside, Bell is still screwing with me. They want $120 from me now, and I am getting sick of it. >_<
